http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15262111/site/newsweek/ First of all, as I read more and more of this story, I became more and more angry. Second of all, maybe I am biased b/c I am a law enforcement officer. ANYWAYS...that link leads to a story of some guy who was shot and killed in Flordia after he killed one deputy and wounded another. Not to mention the dog he killed. I know animal lives are not the same as human lives, but it still shows someone who has no conscience. Alright, the guy was shot 68 times. And they are all crying "thats too many times" blah blah blah. It IS justified! Who cares how many times the man was shot, HE HAD A GUN (NOT ONLY HIS, BUT ALSO THE SLAIN OFFICERS GUN) AND HAD ALREADY KILLED SO I THINK ITS SAFE TO SAY HE WAS GOING TO ATTEMPT TO KILL AGAIN!!! A law enforcement officers' first concern is themselves, as is anyones. Thier second concern is their partner, thrid is innocent bystandards and forth IF EVEN THAT HIGH ON THE SCALE is the scum that decided to kill one of thier brothers. There is a line in there that says this scum's family asked "why couldnt he be taken alive?" Who the hell cares! The peice of subhuman crap TOOK THE OFFICERS LIFE and does not deserve a chance for the other officers to stop and think "hmmm...maybe we should let him live even though he could possibly shoot us and kill us with that gun he has IN HIS HAND RIGHT NOW. Surley we should let him shoot us since we might upset people if we shoot to STOP THE THREAT." Maybe some of these officers were a little more on edge because it was one of thier own that he had killed, but who cares. They did what they were trained to do. STOP THE THREAT through any means. Ah, and then they throw the race card in there. Yep, he was shot 68 times b/c he was black. Thats the only reason. BULL CRAP! HE MADE A DECISION TO SHOOT AND KILL ONE OFFICER AND HIS DOG AND SHOOT AND ATTEMPT TO KILL ANOTHER OFFICER. I don't care if he was black, white, purple, yellow, or green. The deputies shot and killed a THREAT. Not a black threat, not a white threat, but a person who threatened thier lives!!!!!!!!!!! If you ask my humble opinion, 68 wasn't enough. This man willingly took a weapon and executed an officer. EXECUTED. The article says the officer was shot twice in the head after being shot several other times. I can tell you that if anyone ever pulls a gun on me and had an intent to kill me, I hope that every round I fire will go into him so that my life can continue. May be thats only 2, or 40, I hope I never find out. Just like most of America, these people want to say "ohh the officer used too much force". Anyone step back to say "ohh this man used too much force when he killed that deputy." I didn't see that in the report anywhere..... |
